Thousand Oaks Barrel Apple Pie Moonshine Essence

Swish Barrel essences are specially formulated flavorings designed to mimic the taste of premium spirit mash bills and classic as well as contemporary distilling styles. When combined with a neutral spirit such as vodka, moonshine, or grain alcohol, the taste can be indistinguishable from many known brands. These essence flavors do not make an actual spirit brand or claim the spirit is from a specific region; they are simply an indistinguishable flavor facsimile used to educate and entertain the consumer. Importantly, the essences do NOT contain alcohol.

The mini aging barrels have a higher surface-to-alcohol ratio, resulting in a faster aging time.

To use the essences, simply pour the contents of the packet into a 35 fl. oz. (1L) bottle or a 1 liter Thousand Oaks barrel, then fill with 26.5 fl. oz. (750 ml) of 35-40% ABV grain alcohol, neutral (unflavored) vodka, moonshine or "swish barrel" alcohol. Shake well to mix thoroughly. For best results, age to taste in a Thousand Oaks Barrel for a minimum of 2-4 weeks. Larger barrels require proportionally more essence packets.

For home distillers, mix 1 packet of Swish Barrel Essence per 750 ml of neutral spirit or moonshine in a container and mix well. To add complexity, you can also include toasted or charred oak strips to mature the taste.
